Bohemia - Coke Studio Season 5
Bohemia grew up in California where he was introduced to rap music and developed a passion for the raw honesty of its lyrical content. He believed rap was the poetry of today - inspired by the commonly brutal and often unexpressed realities of life on the streets. Bohemia had been writing poetry since he was a child living in Pakistan before his family moved to the US. His mother died of cancer when he was barely 14 years old. He left his home, a young boy filled with anger at the world and is grateful for music and the role it played in giving him a solid grounding at a time when he was lost and confused. He channeled his emotions and energy into learning the keyboards, encouraged by his father who played the harmonium.
